Skela, a steel pillar in energy sector modernization: The Iernut Powerplant

Skela Industries played an essential role in the development of one of Romania’s most significant energy projects, the Iernut Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Powerplant. We provided our expertise for the vital steel structures of the main powerplant building and the exterior piperacks, strengthening the national energy infrastructure.

For the beneficiary, ROMELECTRO SA, our team undertook a comprehensive scope of services, from detailed shop drawings and acquisition to fabrication and on-site erection. The project involved an impressive mobilization of resources, culminating in the fabrication and installation of approximately 2,500 tons of steel structure. The complexity of the work covered both the main body of the powerplant and its piperack networks, showcasing Skela’s capability to manage large-scale and technically complex industrial projects.
