Technology and Durability: Skela Industries Delivers an Orthotropic Deck Bridge over the Argeș River

As part of the “Modernization of the bridge crossing the Argeș River at KM 23+000” project, Skela Industries fabricated and delivered the bridge deck’s steel structure, implementing an advanced technical solution. This project reaffirms our commitment to innovation and quality in bridge construction.

We produced 308 tons of bridge deck structure for this project. Its unique feature lies in its structural type: an Orthotropic deck bridge. This technology, which involves a network of stiffeners welded beneath the deck plate, provides an excellent weight-to-strength ratio. The precise fabrication of these components in our workshop was crucial for the bridge’s success and long-term durability.
