Metal deck structure for infrastructure bridge<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Skela Industries<\/strong> produced and delivered the metal structure of the road infrastructure bridge deck over the Letea escape channel (Rusi Ciutea). This road infrastructure bridge with mixed deck is part of the Bacau Beltway (bypass of the city), which is part of the A7 Moldova Highway<\/strong> (Ploiesti – Bacau – Pascani – Suceava – Siret) – part of the Pan-European Corridor IX.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Semi-cassette metal deck highway bridge<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\nSkela Industries fabricated the metal structure for the deck of the road bridge. We are talking, at this highway bridge, about a mixed deck (steel + reinforced concrete), composed, in section, of two metal half-boxes, which work together through a reinforced concrete slab.\n\n\n\n\n

The total length<\/strong> of the bridge superstructure is 172 m<\/strong>, and the width of one track<\/strong>, for each of the two traffic directions is 13.40 m<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\nFor this infrastructure bridge, Skela Industries<\/strong> handled fabrication and delivery of approx. 1200 tons<\/strong> of structural steel (metal half-boxes and accessories), the metal structure of the deck being delivered in oversized sections that were assembled on site, by welding. The material of choise was weathering steel (Corten type material).\n\n\n\n\n
